Light of Life’s Food Pantry supports community members facing food insecurity by providing a dignified “shopping” experience where they can select from a wide array of fresh, nutritious foods. This approach allows individuals to choose from a diverse selection of produce, dairy, proteins, and dry goods, fostering a sense of dignity and empowerment for those in need.

Our faithful donors make it possible for us to distribute food to those in need. Through their support, we're able to provide fresh, quality items that support a nutritious diet.

Our Food Pantry works with community partners including nonprofits like 412 Food Rescue and the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, along with churches and individuals to obtain food for individuals experiencing food insecurity that those organizations directly serve.

INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES

The food pantry welcomes individuals and families living in zip codes 15212, 15214, and 15233 who are experiencing food insecurity to our weekly distribution. Walk-ins are welcome. Bring ID or other proof of address.

Weekly Distribution Hours:
Wednesdays, 11 AM - 1 PM

Emergency Food Hours:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday,
10 AM - 12 PM
Serving any Pittsburgh resident with an urgent need (one time only)

If an individual lives outside of our Food Pantry service area, our team is happy to connect them to their local food bank for ongoing support.

Our Food Pantry also acts as a bridge for guests to connect with Light of Life's other programs and services that might benefit them.

Walk-ins are welcome, but to get first access to our weekly distribution days we offer appointment scheduling.

Appointments open on Monday at 11 AM for our Wednesday distribution. Appointments can also be made by calling 412.398.7373.
